Culture Commission is a private shared-work project incubator & production studio dedicated to enriching a creative community.
Consider it a framework for distributing creative tasks among a network of like-minded collaborators. Like private crowdsourcing within a tight-knit group of creatives.
Work produced under the Culture Commission banner raises the prestige and awareness of all its members, while any knowledge and experience gained strengthens the group from within.
Work is not assigned by Commission leadership. Members are free to experiment, play, and produce without interference. "Permission" is not a concept we understand.
There is no commitment of time or services required as a member. Work is volunteered (or not) at your discretion.
Culture Commission is not a business. At least, not yet. As prestige and capital build we might find it makes sense to flip the whole project into a real-world production studio (using a profit-sharing model) but until then all profits from projects produced under the Culture Commission banner are yours to keep. (Or share!)
While there is no financial cost associated with the Commission, members are expected to contribute as much as their abilities and schedules allow. Remember: cooperation goes both ways, don't expect anyone to do your homework for you.
Members are vetted and invited based on skill, imagination, and a healthy dose of nepotism. We're still growing, and the only way to keep growing is to keep things managable.
In the mean time, see what we're up to on Twitter.
